Our Mission

OutHudson is a nonprofit organization dedicated to uplifting, celebrating, and advocating for the LGBTQIA2S+ community in Hudson, NY and the greater Columbia County region. We envision a world where queer and trans people of all backgrounds can thrive—where visibility, safety, joy, and belonging are not privileges but rights.

Our mission is to foster a vibrant, inclusive community through year-round programming, cultural events, public education, and grassroots advocacy. We believe that Pride is both a celebration and a protest, and we honor the histories of queer liberation movements while working toward an equitable future. From our signature Pride Parade and Festival to youth-centered events, educational workshops, and partnerships with local organizations and businesses, OutHudson creates space for connection, visibility, and transformative change.

We are committed to intersectionality and to centering the voices and needs of BIPOC, disabled, trans, and rural LGBTQ+ individuals. Through collaboration, creativity, and care, we aim to shift culture, challenge injustice, and build a more just and joyful Hudson Valley—one where queer life is seen, supported, and celebrated every day of the year.
